Cucurella enjoyed a memorable summer by helping Spain win Euro 2024 in Germany. During La Roja's celebrations, Cucurella was heard singing his own chant but changing the words to take aim at Haaland. He sang: "Cucu cucu-rella, he eats paella, Cucu cucu-rella he drinks Estrella, Haaland you’d better tremble because Cucurella is coming!”

Cucurella came up against Haaland on Sunday when Manchester City faced Chelsea in their Premier League opener. The striker needed just 18 minutes to open his account for the new season, shrugging off the attentions of Cucurella to score past Robert Sanchez.

WHAT HAALAND SAID
Haaland was asked about Cucurella after the game and had clearly heard all about the Chelsea man's chant during Spain's celebrations. He told : "He is a funny man. Last season he asked for my shirt. And this summer he sings a song about me."
